Hi everyone! I hope you’re all having a good week so far. I was lucky enough to win one of the Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche lipsticks that Nylon Magazine was giving away! Before it arrived, though, I bought two more shades that I’d had my eye on.
Look how cute the packaging is! I love the lip print on the outside sleeve. The Amuse Bouche formula is very creamy, pigmented, and easy to apply. These lipsticks were made to be a better version of the Luminous Creme line. The Amuse Bouche line is longer lasting, has a citrus scent, and a better color payoff.
I reviewed (top to bottom) Sweet Peach, Sake, and Black Truffle (Nylon prize). I was very impressed with the color payoff! I only needed a couple swipes to get an opaque swatch. They smell super good too!
I found all of these to have excellent weartime and held up well against food and drink. The color didn’t settle into lip lines and I needed minimal touch-ups.
Of the 3 shades I reviewed, my favorite was definitely Sweet Peach. It was ultra-flattering to my skintone, easy to work with, and perfect for spring! Sake was a decent MLBB shade but to be honest, I expected it to be more of a mauve-brown and less purple. Black Truffle is an absolutely beautiful shade. I love the color of it! It really speaks to my vampy soul. But I found that while it was extremely opaque and I had no problems with patchiness, it was extremely hard to get a crisp looking line. I would have to use it with a hella good lip liner and be VERY careful while wearing it, which is a little too high maintenance for me.
That being said, this is a really great formula overall and I want to try more shades from the Amuse Bouche collection! This is definitely Bite’s best work so far.
Have any of you tried the Amuse Bouche lipsticks? What do you think? ❤
