Kylie Lip Kit – True Brown K

Hey everyone! I hope you’re all having a great NYE so far! The Kylie Lip Kits have been sold out for a couple weeks now, but there are a few people selling them on Instagram and eBay in the meantime.

I managed to get True Brown K from a follower for research. I was really wanting to test out the longevity of the product, as well as compare it to the Colourpop Ultra Mattes, given the “controversy” surrounding the products.

To start, the formulas are very different. True Brown K is a mousse-y, lightweight formula. It is extremely pigmented and feels pretty weightless on my lips. It dries down pretty quickly and does not transfer. When it wears off throughout the day, it doesn’t crumble or flake. Instead, it wears rather evenly. At the end of the day, it’s very difficult to remove, even with a makeup wipe!

True Brown K really is a true brown. It is cooler than Lime Crime Salem and Melt Catsuit. It is also cooler than Colourpop Limbo and a little lighter than Jeffree Star Dominatrix, but I don’t own those products to compare them myself.

Although these products are hard to come by, if you’re a liquid lipstick addict, I definitely recommend getting at least one of these kits to try out. For $29, you get a liquid lipstick and matching pencil. It’s a great deal considering that most liquid lipsticks are around $20 each and do not come with a coordinating pencil.

What do you guys think of the Kylie Lip Kits? Let me know in the comments below. Also, be sure to follow my blog with Bloglovin! I hope everyone has a safe and Happy New Year! ❤
