Bobbi Brown Pink Glow Highlighting Powder

Hey everyone! I first heard about Bobbi Brown’s new limited edition Highlighting Powders a few months ago in one of Jaclyn Hill’s Sephora haul videos. This product was inspired by the strobing trend that became popular over the summer.

Since I am all about highlighting and the color pink, I decided to take the plunge and order this after seeing the swatch in Jaclyn’s video. This was also my first Bobbi Brown product, so I didn’t know what to expect.

Look at it. Isn’t it gorgeous?! It’s a beautiful champagne pink with a white gold swirl that runs through it. It shimmers when it catches the light, which is exactly what you want for a strobing and highlighting powder.

As much as I wanted to love this product though, it’s a bit too dark to use as a highlighter. Which is surprising, because it looks okay in hand swatches like this one on my Instagram. On my cheeks though, it’s just dark enough to look like a subtle bronzer streak when looking head-on. Not a good look!

Other than being too dark, it’s a nice highlighter. It applies smoothly, is really pigmented, and is pretty glittery. I suppose I could use this as a blush topper or use it as a summer highlight, as it is very glittery and a kabam type highlight. I’m really bummed that it didn’t work though, because I wanted to love it so much!

If you’re interested in buying it, you can still find it on Nordstrom’s site or in-store, as well as in Sephora stores that carry Bobbi Brown. It is limited edition, however, and since it’s sold out on Sephora’s site I would buy it sooner rather than later!

What do you guys think of Pink Glow or of strobing products in general? Let me know in the comments! ā¤
