Product Review – Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder

Hello everyone! I hope you’re all having a fantastic weekend. I can’t believe it’s already almost Thanksgiving. This month and year have flown by so fast!

A couple weeks ago, I was in Sephora returning a few things from my VIB Rouge Haul that didn’t work out for me. I’ve been on the hunt for a loose powder for a while, but had yet to find one that worked with my dry skin and didn’t cause flashback. After reading a slew of positive reviews and seeing Jaclyn Hill mention the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder in her October Favorites video, I decided to give it a try.

Omg, you guys. This powder is truly amazing. First of all, you get 1 ounce of powder for $37. The price is a bit steep, but 1 ounce of loose powder will last you for forever.

I have used this powder a few times now and have found that it has completely prevented undereye creasing without making my skin feel like it’s going to fall off. Since I have super dry skin, finding a good powder has been hard because some are just too drying for me to comfortably use.

One that’s too dry for me is the Make Up For Ever HD Loose Powder. I got a 100 point deluxe sample of this with my VIB Rouge Sale haul and was really excited to try it. While it did a good job of setting my concealer, it sucked all the moisture out of my skin and made my face feel really uncomfortable after only about 30 minutes of wear. Needless to say, I won’t be trying it again, now that I have the holy grail that is Laura Mercier!

I’ve also done some test photos using flash, and there’s no ghostly white cast with this powder! It is undetectable. Basically, everyone needs this powder in their lives pronto.

Which powder is your holy grail? Let me know in the comments below! ❤
