Swatches & First Impressions: Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick Lolita Duo!

Hey everyone! Today I wanted to share some swatches and a mini-review of Kat Von D’s new Lolita Duo. As most of you know, Lolita, a “chestnut rose,” has been highly coveted in the makeup community. It’s constantly going in and out of stock because people simply can’t get enough! It’s the perfect rose for some, a grungey brown for a few, and a dusty mauve for the rest, depending on your undertone. I’d never owned Lolita before, so when this duo, containing minis of Lolita I and Lolita II, I bought them almost immediately to test the two out.

Lolita II is a “chestnut brick pink” and is supposed to be close to the original Lolita shade, which changed slightly when KVD reformulated her ELLs to a vegan formula.

Kat Von D’s liquid lipstick formula is super lightweight, creamy, and buildable. It dries down quickly and has great staying power. I’ve always loved her formula, but the length of the applicator wand was a bit too long, and caused it to be a little unwieldy when I applied the product. That problem is fixed with the mini size of these Lolita tubes, though.

After just checking the Sephora site, I’ve come to realize that the Duo is completely sold out! I don’t know if there will be a restock, but I hope everyone that wanted it got a chance to purchase it. Which Lolita is your favorite? ❤
